Abstract

This article summarizes and presents some results of one possible approach to the scientific interpretation of materials from the Novgorod Regional Dictionary. The author examines the contexts of dialect word use in dictionary entries as dialect discourse. Collectively, they possess such discourse properties as integrity, communicativeness, subjectivity, and connection with extralinguistic factors. The article analyzes illustrative examples of words from the thematic group Baked Goods.
