This article provides information about the Vaulina Readings in Kaliningrad – an international conference dedicated to the memory of S. S. Vaulina. It explains why Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University organizes this significant scholarly event, which holds both commemorative and methodological importance. The article emphasizes S. S. Vaulina's role in forming the Kaliningrad school of modality studies. The content of the papers presented at the plenary and sectional sessions is described. It characterizes the content of presentations at plenary and sectional sessions. The contributions analyze various aspects of modality and their manifestations in the history of the Russian language and its contemporary state. The authors suggest that the Vaulina Readings is to become a tradition in Baltic Federal University and Russian linguistics.
