The article examines the problem of the lexicographic description of the names of political parties in modern Germany on the example of the author's concept of an electronic translation dictionary. On the basis of knowledge about the object of research and based on the research carried out in this area, the principles of the lexicographic description of the studied nominative units are being developed, and a model of the dictionary entry for the Christian Democratic Union of Germany is proposed. The necessity of fixing the names of German parties in the online translation dictionary is shown in view of the actively developing and widely functioning politonym system not only in the German media space, but also beyond its borders. The names of political parties represent a special group of vocabulary in the political sphere that requires not only a definition / translation equivalent, but also additional extralinguistic information. It was revealed that among the dictionaries of socio-political vocabulary, both monolingual and translated lexicons are presented, which differ in thematic coverage and volume: from general to highly specialized. An essential difference is the form of their publication: print or electronic. The choice in favor of an electronic dictionary is substantiated. The digital lexicon has an important advantage for the object of research in comparison with traditional printed ones - the ability to constantly update information and supplement the corpus of names. The author's concept of the translation dictionary of the names of parties in modern Germany is based on the following principles for the selection and description of vocabulary: an indication of the short form of the name, as well as an additional designation with translation into Russian; extralinguistic data (party foundation date, logo, link to the official website). The necessity of creating a section "unofficial names" is shown using illustrative examples that facilitate not only the understanding of such nominations, but also reveal the possibilities of their use.
